PPC, or Pay-Per-Click, is a widely used advertising strategy on the internet. It can be found on websites, advertising networks, and search engines.
With PPC advertising, sponsored links in the form of text ads are placed near search results. Advertisers pay a fee each time a visitor clicks on these links and lands on their website. Essentially, advertisers compete for top positions in search engine results by bidding on relevant keyword phrases. The higher the bid, the higher the placement on search results, leading to more clicks and website visits. Advertisers pay the bid price each time a visitor clicks on their ad. This process is sometimes referred to as “keyword auctioning”.
